They are shot through with color as they are made. Every figurine made is unique. The technique of the artisan in laying in the colors, the batch of white fossil coral prepared for use, the temperature, the humidity, all affect how the colors will flow. No two will ever be exactly the same. All our pieces are all individually made. The Coral Studio employs no mass production techniques, only skilled craftsmen.
Angelfish Facts
An inshore dweller here in the British Virgin Islands, these beautiful creatures typically stay very close to the reef. Angelfish move with slow and deliberate grace through the water and are often to be found in pairs as they feed on tiny particles of plant and animal material. Adult Angel Fish can reach a length of 24". Juvenile Angel Fish act as "cleaner fish". They often live near "cleaning stations" and remove parasites from other fish which come visiting.
Worldwide there are about 80 species of this family, the Pomacanthidae.
